BOYS BLEED. PERIOD. 🩸 Last weekend I went to an A-list private party, did the brunch gigs, the evening cabaret gigs, the gogo gigs, and all the networking whilst - most of the time - being the only trans man in the room. Being the only trans man in spaces is always a vibe - people spend their time making gross assumptions about you, misgendering is always a thing, objectification, harassment, unconsentual touching... the whole shebang. But there’s nothing more alienating and lonely then being on your period. You do the same work as all the men around you, except you’re bleeding and are at risk of being clarted at any minute. Being a trans man means your struggles with menstruation are constantly being overlooked by the folks around you: did you know there are NO sanitary bins in ANY gendered male toilets? Every month I bleed for 6 days and the world expects me to wrap my tampon up and pocket it, if I want to use a toilet that doesn’t drag me out by my hair. That’s why this month, I’m thankful to Ohne. This is my first time trying period pants and there is no way I’m going back. Comfortable! Easy! Soothing! And don’t I just look f*ckin HOTTTTTTTT? 🔥 I’m unstoppable in these bad boys.
