Portland Track is proud to partner with organizations who love track and want to reward the people who make the sport go 'round. In partnership with Beynon and Tracktown, Portland Track will be awarding $250 to the winning photographers of each category at Flash: Category 1: Action Shots Category 2: Portraits & Stills Category 3: Abstract & Landscape Shots $250 will also be awarded for the Photo of the Year, selected from the 3 category winners. Tracktown has also generously donated $250 to be given for the best photo of Hayward Field, and Black Women Photographers has generously put up $250 to be given to the best photo submitted by a black woman photographer. Beynon Sports is a pacific northwest company that builds state of the art tracks where many of these photos are taken. From Hayward Field and Lewis & Clark's 'Electric Forest' to local high school tracks, they construct the venues where dreams are realized and art is created to be shared around the world. To all photographers, if you have not yet submitted your best photos of professional meets, please do so at Portlandtrack.com by November 11th. Photos on the short list (top 10 in each category) will be printed, showcased and auctioned with proceeds split 50/50 between the photographer and Portland Track. To everyone else, take part in the fan photo competition! You can even submit photos taken on your iphone! We'll celebrate these beautiful works in a gala event on December 15th in Portland.
