Excited to announce a limited edition print series of this original drawing, titled ‘She goes by many names: Celestial Lady, Lotus Blossom, Dragon Lady, Yellow Fever, Slave Girl, Geisha, Concubine, Butterfly, China Doll, Prostitute’ The title of the print (and the inspiration for the etching) is a quote from American author and scholar Anne Anlin Cheng, whose work centers around addressing the centuries-old Western lens of equating Asiatic femininity with excessive ornamentality.⁠ These beautiful prints were produced by @goldmark_atelier and released with @pm______am alongside my solo show, as part of their Midnight Editions print series.
