1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up & History Maker💜 The Miss District of Columbia USA competition was intense but one thing is for sure, I am sooooo proud of my girls. 🥹 👑Kennedy, you have truly become a sister to me. Watching you blossom these last two years has been so inspiring. To place 2nd RU at your first USA state pageant is an incredible accomplishment, but what makes me most proud is the woman you are becoming. Your determination and confidence, and the way you carry yourself reminds me of why this work matters so much. This is only the beginning, and I cannot wait to see all that you will continue to achieve. 👑Justus, it has been an honor to be on your team. The grace you show should be studied. You carry yourself with such warmth and light that everyone around you feels seen, and celebrated. You are a true reminder that winning is not just about the crown but about the character you carry with you every step of the way. 👑Taj, my girl, HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. The first Black transwoman to compete for Miss DC USA and the designer of your own competition wardrobe. No one else does that! I hope you know deep down just how remarkable you are. This moment is only a glimpse of what is to come and there are truly big things ahead for you. When I think about my job as a pageant coach, the number one thing I don’t take lightly is the impact I am having on my clients’ lives, whether it’s for one session or fifteen. Us crossing paths is always for a reason and I hope that I am able to leave a mark that helps them see the power that has always been within them. Congratulations to our new sister, Allison.✨ Welcome to the Miss DC USA sisterhood. It’s truly the best there is.❤️
