I’ll be shocked if any of you remember my first era of “outdoor living” content — it was mainly on TikTok and in Michael & I’s first apartment together in NYC, beginning December 2021, so that would’ve been spring 2022! Our balcony was the shape of a quarter of a circle and the size of my yoga mat.🤣 I built a “custom” table to fit along the curve of the building, giving us just enough space to fit two small dinner plates on the table and thin legs braced against the building for support. This was all in an effort to avoid sacrificing ANY of the square footage, as I was VERY excited to use the space for yoga! 🧘🏽‍♀️ I believe it was the first ever “series” I posted. All of this just came back to me… ❤️ Anyhow, now we get to work with a much larger outdoor space in comparison! Interior design and DIYs are fun, but building custom furniture is my favorite thing above all. I love creating from scratch and solving a problem!! Time for us to learn about outdoor fabrics and upholstery! 🤸🏽 I’m excited to source planters, so those will come with time, and in the meantime, I’m researching trellis designs! 🌱 (Oh, and reading all of the codes for the balcony because I’m following the rules in this building!!)
