Stages n Phases Growth happens in stages. And different phases can propel growth. In 2019 I attended a hair show that changed me. It changed my mind. It changed the way I thought about what exactly was possible as a stylist. The show was so incredible. Filled with a ton education and inspiration, I left feeling inspired. But I mainly left feeling incomplete. Yes, incomplete. But not for what the show didn’t offer. More like, seeing the show in person was the pilot light to my Flame. The opportunity and ability to interact with any and all of talented artists that were there to present a level of education,was nothing short of something feeling very Rockstar-ish. I couldn’t believe this was a hair show. It felt like a concert. During the show, I was so moved by what I was experiencing that I wanted to be apart of it. I felt that feeling at my core. I didn’t know how or when. But I did know the wanting desire I was feeling. I said to myself...”I should be up there” I knew a Silk Press was the most incredible technique to witness in person. “Oh how they (the audience)would be amazed at the transformation.” A level of sorcery so to speak. I didn’t see why I couldn’t be on stage. I couldn’t see why I shouldn’t be on Stage. Over several Phases I worked at my Dream. Never losing that feeling I had felt. Holding on so tight to that experience that it became an extension of me. No one could feel or see my Dream. I was alone on this journey. I wasn’t lonely, but I was certainly alone. Years later I have had the opportunity to grow tremendously. And those artists that were on stage that day, have now become friends and family.
