"This backpacking trip was a bit of a pipe dream. The logistics weren't easy—permits, flights, gear, and possible travel restrictions. On top of it all, would anyone actually want to come with me?! You don't meet too many people that would rather trek through technical terrain than lounge at a resort in Hawaii. In the end though the answer was yes, and we made it happen. I'm so grateful to have friends that are wild enough to embark on this adventure with me.
