NEW FEMINIST PAINT SESSION AT @the.baths.hw ANNOUNCED Thursday 15 September from 7pm 80 Eastway E9 5JH Feminist Collage London is coming back for their second paint session in our space the Hall this week! Feminist Collage London is an intersectional activist group that uses street collages & civil disobedience as a tool to spread political and social messages in the public space. Their actions aim at opposing the white supremacist patriarchal system & denouncing femicides, domestic abuse, sexual violence, sexism, and any form of oppression affecting women and gender minorities every day. “Collages are a way to reclaim the streets which have been made unsafe for us due to street harassment, aggression and misogynistic behaviour. Collage sessions mainly occur at night - a time when most women and gender minorities feel unsafe- but through this practise, we can now declare ours. With our collages, we hope to raise awareness on intersectional feminist issues & to confront street users with their own complicity with the white patriarchal system that we oppose.” Join them for an open paint session on the 15th of September from 7 pm at The Baths, 80 Eastway, E9 5JH! It will be the perfect night to meet the collective and shed the anxieties through the physical practice of painting slogans. Everyone who doesn’t identify as a cis-male is welcome! You don’t need to have any experience and all equipment will be provided! See you there!
