šŸšfermented sweet rice egg tarts <3 hii friends!! i’ve been getting very into fermentation since the hotter temperature makes everything faster :D sweet fermented rice was a childhood staple for me, but as the extra person that i am, i added them on top of egg tarts and GOSH they were good >:)) šŸšfor the sweet fermented rice: - 250g sticky rice (whole grain steel cut oats also work GREAT) - 250g white rice @think_rice #gifted - 400g warm water - 3g wine fermenting yeast (ā€œjiuquā€) soak sticky rice in water overnight. pressure cook the rice then let it cool a little bit. dissolve yeast in warm water, add to rice bit by bit, & stir. make a small hole in the middle, put smth over the bowl, put it somewhere warm, & let the magic happen (mine took 24hrs in a warm weather). the result should taste like rice wine (bc it literally is haha) 🄚for 6 egg tarts: - 6 egg tart pastries (you can make your own but i was lAzY) - egg tart mixture: 1egg + 8g sugar + 30g milk + 50g @nutpods sweet creĢ€me creamer (link in bio for -$$!) - toppings: your homemade fermented sweet rice (just the rice part, drink the wine ;)), mini sticky rice balls (made mine w/ glutinous rice flour), & dried chrysanthemum bake egg tarts @ 400f for ~20min. let it cool & stack the toppings on ✨ #healthyeating #healthyfood #healthylifestyle #healthy #eggtart #breakfastideas #homecafe #healthysnacks #healthysnackrecipes #healthyrecipes #koji #fermentation #foodphotography #snacks #baking #homemade #healthybaking #healthydessert #dessertrecipes #bakingrecipes
