Pricing is math and floristry is a real business.

As the costs for florists rise, so should the costs florists pass on to their clients. If you are struggling with communicating bigger numbers with your clients, that's a sign that you have attached your own personal emotions to the numbers.
If you are "eating the cost" ANYWHERE in your business, you need to evaluate that closely.
Event florists may feel pressured to "eat the costs" under circumstances like this:
🌱Last minute floral requests added after final invoice
🌱Extra delivery locations for boutonnieres, bouquets, etc
🌱Planner or client asking for more flowers during wedding set-up
🌱Rental items/vessels go missing and florist isn't able to recover them
🌱Client wants florist to stay during ceremony to repurpose items
🌱Florist wants to refresh repurposed items with more flowers after ceremony
🌱Client wants to upgrade bouquets to have trailing silk
Sound familiar? Be sure your contract covers you in these situations (link in my bio for my favorite floral contract!) and enables you to confidently invoice your client when additional expenses are accrued. Now, more than ever, it's incredibly important to stay on top of our costs so we can thrive in our businesses. #floweringminds #floraldesigner #floristryschool #floristrycourse #floristsofinstagram #floraleducation #floraleducator
