Soror Watson-McClarty is a 1994 graduate of Tennessee State University and 199 graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. She has been in private practice at Complete Health Care Center, a subsidiary of Consolidated Practices of Memphis, since 2004. She also works as a medical director at multiple long term care facilities in Memphis, Tennessee. Sydney Tompkins is currently a first-year Dental student at Howard University College of Dentistry (HUCD). Sydney began Dental school the semester after graduating from Georgia State University with a B.S. in Chemistry. During her first year at HUCD, she is enrolled in a mixture of dental and medical courses. Sydney is also an elected Lead Orientation Ambassador and student member of the Admissions Committee. She is also the recipient of a three-year scholarship through the United States Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program. Catina Mathena has more than 25 years of experience in health care and postsecondary education. Her areas of expertise include nursing administration, critical care, clinical education, quality improvement, patient outcomes, gastrointestinal lab, radiology special procedures, telemetry, and perioperative care. She received an Associate of Arts in Nursing from Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2001. Ms. Mathena continued her studies at Union University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007 and Master of Nursing Administration in 2009. Ms. Mathena has presented locally, nationally, and internationally on nursing-related topics. She has completed several mission trips including medical missions to Ghana, Haiti, and Dominican Republic. Ms. Mathena has served on numerous health panels, which focus on disaster relief, World Aids Day, and health awareness projects.
