Thank you @jamaledwards for everything that you gave to us all. I couldn’t find the words to write something when you passed so tried to process it all in my own time. Still now when writing this it brings tears to my eyes with such powerful emotions I still cant explain or understand. I just know that we were brought together at the perfect time through @jelaniblackman doing his thing for @sbtvonline ( originally you aired my dm back in the day... ) and instead of just becoming a loose connect you became actual family which I’m so so thankful for. I feel truly blessed to have become so close over such a short space of time and the fact that you became such an important figure in my life over that time frame is testament to your beautiful soul. That was clearly part of your gift, allowing others to feel loved, empowered and cared for. Yesterday was mixed emotions as it makes me both sad and intensely happy every time I see yet another person who loves you so much. You really opened the door and inspired so many whilst always remaining truly humble and never asking for anything in return. God bless brother. You are an inspiration. I remember the madness of that first weekend when @ape_inrecords launched and it was bittersweet as I knew how gassed you would have been at the prospect of helping to support your peers ( could just hear you buzzing around hitting everyone up saying I got you! ). Weirdly feels like you had a hand in this without ever knowing and so it only felt right to be able to acknowledge this in some way by commissioning the amazing @missclk_ to create this painting with @0207defjam - arguably as @twintings mentioned, only possible from some of your actions. The quote is something we can all apply to our lives and couldn’t be more fitting. The personal takeaway being that we can learn far more through giving than receiving and we can always use our own platform to uplift others. I love you Jam 💙 Real talk.
