Office wear in Japan: Keep it conservative Just sharing my experiences working and living in Japan as a former English teacher. Appearance gives indirect communication. The west encourages body positivity, whereas Japan is not there yet without over sexualizing it. Most women in Japan wear oversize and long skirts to hide as much skin as they can to avoid unwanted attention. 😔 I think the US is so lucky in this way, but ofc no place is perfect.
