Happy Sustainable Halloween 👻💚 One study conducted in 2019 estimated that approx 1.8 million kilos of plastic waste is generated from disposable Halloween clothing in the UK alone. This equates to around 83 million plastic bottles ending up in landfill! So how can we dress responsibly on Halloween? 1. Use costumes from previous celebrations 2. Adapt existing clothing to create a new costume 3. Get crafty and revamp items you don't love or use 4. Purchase secondhand clothing 5. Consider swapping your outfit with someone else 6. If you decide to purchase a new item then make sure to choose materials that are not environmentally damaging or that can be worn after Halloween 7. RENT an item and adapt it to your costume!
