With some of the kids we haven’t seen since the pandemic, we brought the young boxers kicks we knew they’d be excited about. In Cuba, it’s very challenging for the youth to get brand name shoes but what surprised us most was that the kids simply wanted to hang out along Malécon with us. We dressed up, got pizza and took some selfies. It’s inspiring when kids remind us what’s important - making memories with your friends. This was truly a heartwarming reminder to enjoy those closest to us.
