Aretha Franklin and Quincy Jones created this reimagined version of Somewhere in the spring of 1972. It’s a work that is deeply special to Q and to me! I’ve sung many arrangements, but this is a masterpiece—so explorative and unconventional. Her home was behind a piano. Including this in the setlist was supremely important to celebrating Aretha’s legacy. 💫❤️🎹 Vula built on the re-imagination by adding a background vocal arrangement—which I believe really enhanced it and made it our own. ❤️
