"There's a saying in French: "c'est jamais deux sans trois," which roughly means, things always happen in thirds for me. This was the last day of our Eastern Sierra trip, and we were already tired after waking up for the past two sunrises. But of course, we had to send the last one, too. I was excited about potential compositions after scouting a river on google maps right near the town we were staying in. It was fun exploring a new place in Owens Valley (fun fact, the city of LA owns 25% of Owens Valley for water rights) but once the first beams of sun hit the mountains we stood in place and couldn't stop staring at the glorious alpenglow. Side note, shout out my buddy's Mazda, which just before this photo was made hit an *obstacle* and was out of commission for a while.
