Today is 11 December! What is Christmas without the annual ‘julefrokost’? On weekends during December, many Danes are busy attending Christmas lunches. This is a tradition where you get together with either your family, friends, colleagues, sports-teams or classmates to enjoy a typical Danish open-faced sandwich. Rye bread and regional dishes such as spegesild (salt herring) and æbleflæsk (apple sauce and bacon) are often involved – as well of plenty of beer and schnapps! 🥓 🍖 There is always someone at the table who knows the well-known schnapps songs by heart, and then it's just a matter of singing along! 📸1-2: Chris Tonnesen
