Gear Report from 7 Steps episode:⁠ ⁠ 1. Many know I apply a layering system to my @hestragloves. This year, I worked the incredibly breathable Ergo Grip Wool Terry gloves into that system. The wool stays warm if wet, the Gore-Tex Infinium soft-shell makes them incredibly breathable and they're still thin enough to fit in over mitts on cold days like our Comstock attempt day.⁠ ⁠ 2. The only skin I use, the @pomocaskins Free Pro 2.0. The best blend of grip and glide. Race skins are fast as heck, but they're not very durable and are slick on the steeps. Pure nylon skins are affordable, durable and grip well but glide like sandpaper. These Free Pro's are the perfect blend of durability, grip, glide and weight. ⁠ ⁠ 3. The @mammutna Barryvox S. I think every single partner I skied with this year uses this beacon. So yeah, maybe that says something.⁠ ⁠ 4. @elysesaugstad in the @sfgiants cap. Because even in the backcountry, it's worth supporting your team...even though they sucked this year. ⁠ ⁠ 5. A cute dog and a @straingebeast to come home to. Most of you know I can't drink real beer, my weak little stomach and all its problems do not like gluten, so GF beers or hard kombuchas are the canned choice for me these days. Also a cute doggie like @theothebrave helps too.
