Going through my archive and this beauty stood out from 2010, the original art work was for @larouxroux "The Gold Tour" and it was just myself, Elly and the photographer in a cold studio in Brixton somewhere, I can't recall where!! You would be very much mistaken in thinking that the gold was done in post production, it certainly wasn't.... layering of gold body paint and different gold and bronze powder pigments, using different grades of metallics was the way I created all the dimensions and contours in the makeup, I was told there would be minimal retouching so had to get it right! I added that punchy pink lip to give it a little softness and meticulously worked the gold pigment and powders into Elly's hair so everything was seamless ... she looked like a bar of gold, solid and strong, which pretty much describes her!!! I was very lucky to work with her and she gave me free reign on everything but one thing - NO LIPSTICK OR LIPGLOSS ... she yielded for this shoot though!!!
