🫶🏼a love letter🫶🏼 The Rose & The Oak deserved more than 2 seasons. I know my obsession might seem unnecessary, but this little slice of heaven offered refuge to us all; we were a bunch of Covid moves who slowly went from distanced lunches in the sun, to masked walks, to pod-parties, to friends, to confidants. We were a motley crew that were brought together due to circumstance but bonded together by choice. Fina and Aidan one day realized that it was a big “foster brother” energy. Not permanent placement per say, but big and real feelings. I can’t say if it was the combination of people, the worldwide pandemic, or a special little magic that I believe the Fairfax district holds, but not one person that lived in this little commune of ours came out of it without noticeable growth. Some came out, some stepped into themselves, some opened themselves up to love again, some allowed for heartbreak, and some just allowed themselves to laugh and enjoy life again.
