Today, Spelman’s Morgan Stanley Scholars, along with scholars from Morehouse College and Howard University participated in HBCU Day at @Morgan.Stanley. Scholars gained direct insight from HBCU alumni at Morgan Stanley on life after college and their personal pathways to the firm. Morgan Stanley CEO James Gorman, global head of diversity and inclusion Susan Reid, and chief human Resources officer Mandell Crawley, shared life lessons during a power-packed session in the morning. Students capped off the day with a photo in Times Square in front of the Morgan Stanley billboard, where scholars are featured this week. Students participating in the initiative receive full scholarships from Morgan Stanley and also receive extensive professional development training and mentorship from employees at the firm.
