I truly cannot describe what an impact being a part of the world premiere of “Loksi’ Shaali’”, the first opera performed entirely in a Native American language, has had on me as a person and an artist. Thank you @jerodtate, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me with Loksi’. It has been one of the greatest honors to share this story and I’ve learned so much about myself through Loksi’s journey. She’s still guiding me through the forest and I’m thankful to you for granting me that blessing. Thank you for your constant love and support, not only through the process of sharing your incredible piece, but also in every day life. I’m grateful for your artistry, your heart, and most of all, your friendship. This opportunity truly granted me the opportunity to collaborate with so many incredible artists and I am still absolutely overwhelmed by the talent and support that was overflowing throughout the week. I am extremely grateful for the talent and kindness of every single singer in @canterburyokc and each member of the @okc_phil. Thank you to Maestro @tianhui_ng for your artistry and extreme care and love for every element of “Loksi’ Shaali’.” It was an honor to get to work with you and share in this experience together. I’m in awe of all of your artistry and how you truly brought the story to life. I love Oklahoma so much and I’m so grateful for my community.
