šŸ taro protein pound cake <3 hii gorgeous people! my mom’s birthday was a couple days ago and ofc i had to make her something :)) i decided to combine two of her favorite things: taro and cheesecake, into one. not to mention this is also super high in protein and low in sugar, making it perfect for people of all ages to enjoy :D i’m leaving for college soon, so enjoying some more good moments with my family was definitely something i wanted to do <3 taro layer: - 100g taro - 20g purple sweet potato - ~30g @nutpods barista oat milk (vv creamy :)) link in bio for -$$!!) - sweetener to taste steam/boil/microwave taro & sweet potato until soft. mash & add milk until desired consistency. spread onto bottom layer of cake mold pound cake: - 75g greek yogurt - 30g @nuzest_usa vanilla protein powder (link in bio for -$$!!) - 1 egg, separated - 10g granulated sweetener - a squeeze of lemon juice mix egg yolk w/ yogurt then add in protein powder. beat egg white, sweetener, & lemon juice until fluffy. fold in egg white w/ egg yolk mixture. add on top of taro layer & bake using bain-marie method (hot water bath) @330f for ~30min. tastes better after refrigerating :)) #healthyeating #healthyfood #healthylifestyle #healthy #poundcake #breakfastideas #homecafe #healthysnacks #healthysnackrecipes #healthyrecipes #foodphotography #snacks #baking #homemade #healthybaking #healthydessert #dessertrecipes #bakingrecipes
