I was struggling whether or not to post about this on my business account, but then I realized my business is personal. Every bride that comes through the studio or has an online consult becomes a friend, and my boy has left a mark on the hearts of almost all of them. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time. We lost our boy at sunset on Monday evening. He left us while we held him in our arms and whispered in his ears how much we loved him. I thanked him for being the best boy and always protecting me. I told him we would make sure his baby sister knew that he tried to stay long enough to meet her. We are so grateful that he remained stable for his last three days, so we could feed him salmon and roast chicken while we laid with him in the sunny grass. The shortest and longest three days of our lives. And in the end, he crawled into his little bed like he was ready to go. He had comforted us as long as he could. Maybe one day soon I will be able to share more, but for now there is just a giant hole in my heart. There are no words to express the sadness that Tavish and I are feeling. Our home has never been so quiet.
