We're only 5 days away from the 5-year anniversary of Harvey event this Saturday! Here's a sneak peek of a beautiful commemorative poster designed by artist and fellow organizer @kill.joy.land (we'll be giving away free prints at the event). Kill Joy draws attention to the strength found in survival and rebuilding after disaster. Despite the immense loss and difficulties of Harvey and other climate disasters in Houston, "we are still here". If you were impacted by Hurricane Harvey, we invite you to participate in two interactive art exhibits at the event. 1. The Things We Carried by @willathewisp. Please bring a memento from the time of Harvey that carries personal significance. They can be things that you managed to save, things that were damaged by the water, or mementos that stand in for things, places, and people who were lost. 2. There will also be a digital art piece on display, that will be updated throughout the night. If you have digital photos from Harvey or the recovery process, make sure you are able to access them on your phone to participate.
