Towering over the newly constructed Hollywood Freeway was once the Queen of Angeles Hospital. Founded in 1926 by the Franciscan Sisters of Sacred Heart, the 404 bed hospital served the Los Angeles community for 63 years until it's closing in 1989. From their full nursing school to a maternity ward where more than 98,000 babies were born, the hospital was once "a centerpiece of Los Angeles' hospital community". Now, 33 years later, on that same hilltop along Bellevue Ave, sits a hospital for souls. The Los Angeles Dream Center.
