Last Saturday Oregonian XCers took to Pier Park in the grand finale of The Stumptown XC Series hosted by @teamredlizard aka The #BattleBeforeBrunch The event also served as the Oregon State USATF XC Championships as it dutifully does every year. It was sloppy, muddy, hilly, and drizzly, just how we like it. And the wicker chairs at the finest brunch establishments in St. Johns were caked in that wet Oregon silt by noon. Because of the meet’s worldwide fame, the Bowerman Track Club Elite were lured out of hibernation, and they won the day. Katie Camarena of the PSU Viks took top honors followed by a red wave. Bowerman Ombudsmen Liam Meirow and Julian Heninger finished as close as their names are listed here, leading on the men’s side.
