Roe v wade. Trigger warning this post references sxual abuse. To be honest, I’ve re written this many times. I’m sitting here waiting to fly and just taking some time to write this slowly. The past few days I’ve cried a lot...really cried . I went inwards as I usually do, raged, projected, and then I delved into my DM’s and read the stories. And there are so many 💔 I’ve reflected on my patients stories of abortion, by choice, and because of medical reason, and because of sxual trauma, abuse and r4pe. Yeah, a lot of my patients have gone through abortion because they were forced into violent circumstances. I reflected on my own abortion and the care I was so lucky to receive at that time. My girlfriends, my non binary friends, my family members and my peers. Their stories. And the stories of people I don’t know at all. I’m feeling a lot personally and as a therapist who specialises in this area. The health of menstruators and minorities should not be politicised, but yet here we are, in 2022. The health choices and personal decisions taken from so many who should have had safety and security. I am ready to fight for those who need it. People are going to die because of this overturn.
