Prometheus Engineer. So much work was put into trying to find the right look of the Engineer. Ridley wanted a classic Grecian God like look to them with an almost stone like quality to their skin. It was just a human body but we spent so much time hunting down the right proportions. Interestingly, I had an idea one morning for the “costume”. It was never asked for, but I really wanted to see if I could get the Giger feel into it. And, as it was never asked for, I only had about 45 minutes of personal time, literally, to do the costume design/image. What you see here is what became the final direction...45 minutes. Point being that you never know how long it can take to find the design. Can be weeks, can be minutes.
