By now, you've heard the story of us teaching financial literacy in classrooms before the creation of EYL. This is the first classroom lesson that was recorded and put on social media. It happened on July 15th, 2017. The lesson was “Spend, Save, Share”. @valid_asow recorded the lesson on his iPhone, @rashadbilal told him to film everything because it would soon be history. @valid_asow was @troymillings assistant at the time. He's currently the COO of Earn Your Leisure, and one of the most powerful people in our corporate structure. The idea behind taping the classrooms was that it was a way to teach adults that would watch online, but in a nonthreatening and enjoyable manner, since it was done through engagement with kids. Five years ago, 20 fourteen-year-olds were the only audience we had. Today we have the ear of The World. A lot can change in a short period of time. #history #eyluniversity 🎓
