José is really one of my favorite love poets of our generation. Ten years ago I remember sitting in my kitchen with him in Chicago and us both dreaming about love and poetry and our lives. Honestly, I’m so moved to see him and Erika get married, from the butterfly that landed on them before the ceremony started, to the depth and humor in their vows. I love them so much.
