Wooden Sleepers Full Page In March Issue Of @gq! • When I started Wooden Sleepers in 2010, outdoorsy brands were not very sought after in the vintage market. One of my guiding principles has always been to buy what I like, not what is most valuable or hyped. I grew up wearing catalog brands like L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer, and Lands’ End, so by the time I started buying vintage, I was naturally drawn to that sort of preppy crunchy mix. As time went on, I learned that for every big brand like REI, Patagonia, and The North Face, there were dozens of smaller “mom and pop” brands making some truly incredible gear. I became obsessed with these obscure labels like Class 5, Camp 7, Trailwise, Alpine Sport, Comfy, Tempco, Sierra Designs, and many more. It’s truly humbling to share this very specific interest in the pages of GQ, a magazine that I have read since I was in junior high. Please swipe to enjoy some words by me, and some shots of a few killer pieces that are sadly long gone. Big thanks to @noahvjohnson for putting me on and to @willwelch and the entire @gq team for the continued support. Peace and gorp! ✌🏼🥾🧗🏽‍♀️🏕️ • #woodensleepers #gorp #gorpcore #vintageoutdoors #eddiebauer #llbean #patagonia #rei #landsend #camp7 #class5 #thenorthface #sierradesigns
