Easy spaghetti not from a jar #spagetti #familydinner #easyrecipe #meatsauce Spaghetti with meat sauce 1 can San Marzano whole tomatoes 1 lb ground chuck 1 carrot diced 1/2 onion diced (Celery optional, 1 stalked diced, my moms allergic so i left out) 2 tbsp olive oil 4 cloves (4 tsp garlic minced) 2 tbsp parsley 1 tbsp basil 1 tbsp oregano 1 tsp red pepper flakes Salt and pepper to taste (add and taste as you go, i use kosher salt) Nutmeg dash (any) 1 package of spaghetti (any) Wine (cheap 1 bottle, 187 ml) (i used sauvignon blanc, a dry red would work too, i keep these on hand for cooking) 1. Add 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Soften your diced carrots and onions and celery (if using, I cooked for my mom and she is allergic to celery). After 10-15 minutes should be softened. 2. Add ground chuck. Separate the meat here while it cooks, will lead to smaller chunks, and cook more evenly. Cook till ground about 10 minutes. 3. Add in garlic and mix. Once fragrant add in wine and cook medium high till wine evaporates and cooks down. (15 minutes) 4. Cook pasta after wine cooks down, salt water slightly and follow box to al dente. 5. Once wine is mostly evaporated ads in San Marzano Tomatoes. Chop them up in sauce as it cooks. Add seasonings (salt to taste, taste as you go). 6. Add in pasta and mix together!!! Its so delicious! Even better the next day!
