Detroit is on track to see its LOWEST HOMICIDE RATE in nearly 60 years. The city is reporting a significant DROP in VIOLENT CRIME this year compared to the first 11 months of 2022: Homicides ⬇️ 18% Non-fatal shootings ⬇️ 13% Carjackings ⬇️ 36% City leaders say this is a direct result of a gun reduction partnership that started two years ago which helped cut down a backlog of more than 4,000 felony gun cases. It involved the deployment of a 12 point safety plan with more collaboration between the agencies and more officers on the street.
