🐉 For over a decade, I’ve led a secret life. A life so sacred to me that I never shared it with even friends nor family. For 10+ years, I’ve been deeply enthralled with and fully immersed in Tibetan Tantrism, specifically, the tradition of Dzogchen, translated as the “Great Perfection”. Dzogchen (pronounced Zog-Chen) is considered to be the pinnacle of contemplative teachings because of its radical, direct -no bullshit, approach. ——————— Its core practice of non-meditation (Tibetan: trekchö) is often described as transcending the bounds of what is normally considered meditation, as it holds no object or reference point, resulting in the non-dual noetic awareness (knowledge) of the ‘great perfection.’ ——————- I’m sharing this because my page will now be used as an outlet to share this tradition as openly, honestly, and authentically as I can. Nothing comes close to the impact these teachings have had on my life, and I feel compelled to share them with others who have the interest and connection. ——————- Chögyam Trungpa once compared this practice to be “like licking honey from a razor blade”, a dangerous pursuit that causes the darkest parts of ourselves to surface but nonetheless expands the parameters of human possibility, ultimately freeing oneself from all self-imposed limitations 🐉
