Hard launching Mowgli Meighan Campion 🎊 Aside from being a physical dupe, this guy could not be more different from our sweet Reno. He’s “spicy” and “mouthy,” as the rescue told us. He borks at trash cans. He HATES going to bed. HE BITES WATER (see slide 4). He is a young working dog and he is a handful. And I always wondered about Reno when he was young. We never knew much about his story but we knew he was adopted and returned many times. It used to baffle me who could do such a thing to such a perfect dog. But was he more like Mowgli in his puppyhood? That could explain some things. I also used to fantasize about traveling back in time and finding Reno at the start of his life. Making sure he had everything he needed. Making sure he knew he was wanted. And now @thobes and I get to pour that into Mowgli, who needs us the same way Reno did, just at a different point in his life. Before Reno passed I made him a promise, that we’d find a dog who needed us. I imagined a sick dog, an old dog. Suppose Reno has a sense of humor on this one. LOL my boy. Mowgli has a lot to learn but he is sensitive, loving, curious, mischievous, and sooooo smart. We’ve fallen in love and we’re committed to giving him the best life ever.
