my honest thoughts on my first facial experience 📔 — a few weeks ago, I went to @sportyandrich spa for their natural face lift sculpting & remodeling massage in SoHo. — the combination of lympathic drainage & buccal massage really left me de-puffed, contoured & sculpted (all very much needed after hours of flying & my esthetician told me I was very tense on my right side). — I was nervous if the skincare or tools used would give my skin a reaction, but this facial was non-invasive, & before starting, you have the opportunity to share any concerns with your esthetician. — if there’s one thing I would incorporate into my skincare routine from this facial, it would be an at-home facial steamer. — as someone who has a hard time relaxing, this experience was strangely calming (pretty sure I took a nap halfway through my facial). — I didn’t feel like my skin was drastically more glowy post-facial. but keep in mind, there are lots of different kinds of facials and mine was more focused on sculpting & de-puffing. also, skincare is all about consistency. one facial is never going to give long term lasting results if you don’t keep up with the rest of your skincare routine. — overall, I think professional facials are a great “treat yourself” moment, and I would do this one again as well as be interested in trying other types of facials. but I don’t think they’re a necessity to incorporate if you already have a solid skincare routine. —————————————————————— #facialmassage #spatreatment #skincareroutine #lymphaticmassage #facialtreatment #skintreatment #skincare
