I’ve always felt like I could will things into existence and that I had the power in my own hands to make the impossible possible. There have been times when it was harder to believe in that power. Like many, I’ve allowed myself to try to hide it to make other people comfortable. I’ve done it over and over for years— primarily starting around age 16 through college, law school, and corporate jobs and in friend and family relationships. But no amount of playing small actually helped. The power was just there and no amount of not accepting it made it easier for me to blend in. And, it has taken a while to deal with the fact that people either love it or they hate it...or some combination of both over time. It just is. I just am. Marching to a beat no one else hears. And I’m good with it, finally. What destiny has assigned me — or that I will decide to claim — will be mine. And that’s just it. 📸: @prmogul
