If the movement ain’t functional, I don’t want it 💁🏻‍♀️ no but for real I used to kill my body with HIIT and dance cardio workouts and while some cardio is necessary for heart health, these days I’m way more interested in elongating my muscles, mobilizing my joints, working on my flexibility and improving my posture. Being completely exhausted, depleted and sore for days after a workout just doesn’t do it for me and is counterproductive to my body. Everyone is different and unless you’re a professional athlete or training for something specific, I believe the main goal should be to get stronger and more mobile so you can live a better life and move more easily throughout your day, whatever that means for you!
