What is your idea of ‘haven?’ Perhaps it’s about having a comfortable home or place to lay your head. For some, it’s found in nature, connecting to all that was here before us and all that will be here after we are gone. Perhaps it’s amongst family - being known and being loved. Or perhaps it’s your secret place, where you go to get inspired. . The idea of Haven isn’t just one thing. It can’t be - because humans are so different and complex and unique. It took me so long to learn that. I used to feel guilty for my life on the road like it disqualified from having a “normal” life. Recently though, I realised and accepted that my haven isn’t a physical space or even just one thing. My safe place - where I feel comfortable, where my best ideas are birthed, where I find the most joy - is whilst travelling and connecting with our world. . I’ll be sharing a little bit more about my idea of Haven over the next few weeks in partnership with @cloudybay. It’s too much to unpack just here but haven for me is: people and places and feelings and moments that fill me with life and meaning. I hold those things closer than anything. I meditate on them and pursue them. I chase after this idea of haven like my life depends on it, because our lives do depend on all that brings us joy and peace and beauty and love. .
