Replying to @joannabarr1 I still can’t believe people get shocked or weirded out by the fact that my baby uses a toilet and we use sign language as a way to communicate to each other. To US, this is not weird. We didn’t force this on her or put pressure on her to learn these things. We simply found out about this method fell in love with the idea and decided to give it a try! We said from day 1 if baby girl didn’t respond well or didn’t enjoy the process we wouldn’t continue but she caught on immediately and we haven’t looked back since! Sign language helps babies communicate their needs and you’ll see a major decrease in crying (stress, anxiety, frustration) because baby doesn’t need to cry about discomfort when they can tell mama and daddy what’s wrong non verbally!
