It’s the best feeling to witness our vision come to life, and the exciting part is that it’s just the beginning. I hope I make it look easy and fun (it’s the most fun), but it’s hard to do this and I don’t want to give a false illusion that creating a brand and products you love with intention can be summed up in a post. I’m not a celebrity. I’m not a friend of a celebrity. I’m not an influencer. I’m one woman with a clear vision that is uniquely me.
Crown Affair is a love letter to us: the real, incredible humans who show up every day working toward bettering themselves. It’s for those who know that they deserve to surround themselves with beautiful, quality things that are intuitive, elegant solutions for how we want to move through the world.
We are ‘the cashmere sweatpants of haircare’ because we have a brand system and core pillars beyond trends. Yes, it’s slower, it’s harder, less obvious. But it attracts a community and customers that is reflective of that— you.
As many businesses as there are, there are ways to build a business. As we approach our 4th birthday at the end of the month, I’m excited to keep evolving. It’s a cool parallel to experience: because I’m building something so authentically me, the brand and business evolve as I do. I was a different woman 4 years ago; so is the brand. It’s an honor to do this work both personally as a leader and professionally with my team.
To everyone out there with a dream or vision that you’re working on or hasn’t yet been realized, let this be a reminder that life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself. This year, keep waking up every day pushing one step forward to your dream.
