We had to say goodbye to our favorite girl tonight. I feel numb. Cherokee, you gave us your all these last 13 years. I’ll never forget us picking you out from the breeder because you were wrecking havoc from the start and biting at our car’s tires 😂 You’ve been my rock from Arizona to Chicago and even a little pandemic detour to Brooklyn for a month. When I was alone broke af in Chicago questioning what the hell I was doing with my life — you’d keep me sane. There’s so many memories to recount, but the fact of it all is you were simply the best girl. Loyal to a tee. Ferocious at times 😂 And a diva. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Ben, I couldn’t have gotten through tonight without you, let alone these last two years. You were the best dog dad to her for the last years of her life and she — and I — will always be grateful. Rest well, sweet girl.
