In 2022, the global auction market reemerged. Most countries lifted restrictions on international travel, and even with the economic uncertainty and global instability from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, collectors were undeterred. Lots at the three major auction houses saw some of the biggest sales ever reached. Collectors’ interest was spread for artists across categories, too.
