“Not far away a peasant girl was singing a kundiman, or love song...” - Carlos Bulosan 🇵🇭 In 2021, I made a vague resolution to sing more, to give my voice permission. I couldn’t predict how my time with Kundiman would help me do so! In the Mentorship Lab, I explored my voice on the page and drafted out some long simmering ideas about musicals, Disneyland, identity, and performance.
