TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY! today I turn 33. 31 was my very favorite year of my life. I truly loved the growth that came from moving to the farm, settling into small town life and exploring so much of the country with friends. 32 though was a tough one. It was the year I’ve felt more alone than at any other point in my life, not necessarily a bad thing, just a fact. This past year was spent rebuilding at the farm and settling into being on my own. It was the first year I felt like an adult and the year I decided seeing a therapist was a very good thing. 32 was a year of solo travel and I spent every mile and every motel room night missing the friends from the year before. 32 was the year I learned life is often times best when lived in community, with a partner, and surrounded by friends. It was a year of realizing how much I truly miss many of my friends from past chapters and lives. I wouldn’t trade the growth for anything and I’m thankful for each lonely moment out here on the frontier. I’m excited for 33 but I’m hoping to spend it with more of you.
