Wonton Soup has been my favorite dish since I was a kid. I finally learnt how to make it from scratch!

Being the youngest of 7 my birthday was always my one chance to choose where to go out for dinner so I took full advantage and picked the same every year! Chinese restaurant and a spider for dessert.
A spider is what we call ice cream and fizzy drink here in oz!

RECIPE: Makes 25 Dumplings (approx 4 serves)

Dumpling Filling
1 1/2 shiitake mushrooms, Grated
3 garlic cloves, Minced
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 spring onion finely chopped
25 vegan wonton wrappers

Broth
2 Chicken stock
2 litres of water
1/4 white cabbage, sliced (optional)
1/2 spring onion finely chopped for garnish
Soy sauce / Chinese chilli oil to taste.

I added a serve of Somen noodles to make this a main rather than entree.You can add any noodles you like though!

Recipe Notes for veggie/vegans
Make sure you read the ingredients on your wonton wrappers, as many brands contain egg.
