Meet Star, she has limited use of her back legs, urine scald & necrotic tissue. Early morning last week the woman who found her, did her best to care for her walked right up to Gretchen begging for her help. This is why our volunteers do what we can to help these little souls. Focusing solely on shelters does nothing to prevent animals from suffering in our community. This amazing woman did all she could & we’re going to do everything we possibly can for Star. We sincerely hope all the stories we share inspire other animal advocates to help too. Preventing more litters of kittens by supporting a high volume spay/neuter clinic means more people can get involved in TNR. Community focused, collaborative animal welfare work is a major void that we need to fill.
