Today is the Feast Day of St. Anne -Santa Ana. In the Catholic faith, she is Mary’s mother, Jesus’ grandmother. Today, Catholics celebrate grandparents. Santa Ana is the Patron Saint of my hometown in Nicaragua. My mom named me after her. My mom had lost many pregnancies. She prayed to Santa Ana that I would make it. Every July 26th, my mom would be the first to call me. I miss those calls. Sending love to all the “Ana’s”, “Ann’s” and “Anne’s” and anybody else missing their mom or grandparent, today. 🩷🩷
